30 Weeks belly pic

Here I am!! 30 weeks pregnant!
Still feeling good except some back pain that has crept into my life. That's getting annoying already.
(Disclaimer: I didn't put make-up on today or leave the house! I've just been wanting to take a belly pic for a while but keep forgetting! Don't mind it!)

I love summer!!

I have been LOVING this summer so far! I only work on Wednesdays and Fridays so I have been having LOTS of relaxation time! Kate and I sleep in until 9:00 then go to the playground or the pool...nothing too stressful!

Yesterday we met up with a friend from daycare and went to the pool. We had lots of fun.




Over the weekend we went to Grove City's Strawberry Days. It wasn't anything too exciting but they just had booths with crafts for sale and food and on Sunday they had a talent show. The talent show was Sunday after church so we did go for a little bit but seriously how long so do you think I can hold off Kate's nap! So we only stayed for a little bit.



I'm enjoying this time to relax while I can before the baby comes and everything gets hectic!!

Kate's apparently not afraid of spiders!

I'm on the phone not paying too much attention but I hear kate talking about a spider and I hear a shoe banging. I think she must see an ant on the floor and is acting like it's a spider. Well I guess not because this monster was smashed on the bottom of the shoe! Okay so not a monster but pretty big for this little girl!! (click to make it bigger to really see!) I think I even would have been nervous!

BTW: In case you're wondering...our binky problems are solved (for now and hopefully for good!) Everything went well and she's totally fine!! Yeeeaaaa!!! This was just as big as potty training for me...if not bigger!!



I found out about a new swimming pool yesterday. I drove past it with Kate and we couldn't wait to go today! The weather was beautiful today so it couldn't have been better. It has a little kids pool separate from the big pool and a playground next door. We had lots of fun today and can't wait to go back! (Don't mind Kate's bathing suit...it doesn't exactly fit her and needs an update!! The color does nothing for her! It was a great hand me down but just doesn't fit!)

Binky Attempt #2

It's time...attempt #2 of the binky removal has begun! It started last night for bed because I forgot her binky at daycare yesterday. I do have another one but I just thought maybe it would be a good opportunity to try again. She's just so dependent on it to sleep. She was up so much last night without it and cried all morning. I'm started to get annoyed! She walks in my room twice a night to help me find her binky that she dropped while sleeping. I just can't do it anymore!

I've been contemplating whether or not she'll ever be "ready" or if it just might be harder for her than other kids. A couple kids at daycare have gotten rid of theirs lately and they never care from day one. So I thought that meant they were "ready" and Kate was not. But maybe that's not the case. I think it will be easier now before the baby comes because then I'll really need my sleep and Kate's naps on track!

So I really need your support!! I know I said this last time then quit after a week but it HAS to happen this time...even if it takes longer than a week...right?!?!!?

PLEASE HELP!!

Kennywood

Tuesday we went to Kennywood (an amusement park in Pittsburgh for those of you not from here) It was fun. Although, I did realize by the end of the night that I am actually 6 months pregnant and can't walk around as long as I used to be able to. It took the whole next day to recover. Kate went last year, too. She was very nervous at first but warmed up by the time it was time to leave. We couldn't get her off the rides. She would get off and right back on over and over again.

About halfway through Kate got really scared and wouldn't let go of Pappy.

She'd already been on this ride and liked it so we made her go on it later even though she was crying! Are we mean?!?
Now she started having fun! We just needed to find friends for her to ride with. She loved the rides more if she could ride with someone else!




I think we wore her out!! She was exhausted!

Memorial day

I left my camera somewhere again so I'm a little behind...



We went camping Memorial day weekend. It was Kate's first time camping. She LOVED it! She can't wait to go again. Surprisingly, I didn't mind it either!

I took this picture of Kate and Dustin at 5 AM on a potty break! I thought they looked so sweet!

Kate didn't want to go to sleep by herself at first so we snuggled together by the fire.


Kate was afraid of the fire. She wouldn't go anywhere near it and if she had to come close at all this is what she did.



It was lots of fun and we might even buy our own tent. If you know me...you know that's crazy!!

To all of my 2-3 dedicated blog checkers, sorry about my absence. I couldn't find my camera this week. Problem solved though so I thought I'd post some pictures. Nothing too exciting going on, though so don't get too excited.

Noteworthy items:
*I told off the girl I work with today after she mumbled under her breath that I never do anything at work. I don't think she'll ever be doing that again.

*When a song by The Black Crowes (Dustin's all-time favorite band) comes on my iPod on shuffle Kate says "This is The Black Crowes." Dustin says he didn't teach her this, she just knows good music when she hears it.

*I'm going to be beginning my search for a new diaper bag. Wish me luck and feel free to suggest any you love!

Kate's new sandbox. She loves to play in the sandbox at daycare so I thought it'd be the perfect birthday present. It turned out not to be. We have to convince her just to go out and play with it! Hmmm...

Kate loves to read books. She woke up from her nap and came and snuggled with me and read! It was quite a sweet time.

24 weeks

Everything is going good. I feel much bigger than I look in that picture. I was even wondering if I was beginning to walk with a small waddle?!? And my chubby pregnancy face appeared while I was sleeping on Friday night. I guess I'm going to accept that, though. It was literally overnight!! O'well! I'm getting really excited about this little baby boy!! He's so active and always kicking around in there!

mother's day pics

Kate woke me up yesterday by saying "you're a sweetheart!" What a start to my mother's day!

She told me "Happy modder's day, Mommy" and gave me a hug randomly about 20 times yesterday!

Dustin got me tulips and a beautiful card.

I had a very nice day!

It was Kate's turn to say the dinner prayer. (most impressive is that this isn't rehearsed at all) Make sure your volume is turned up...it's kinda quiet.

Kate's 2nd b-day party

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE!


She had a cupcake for breakfast on her birthday!!

Kate had lots of fun at her birthday party. She's been waiting for this day for weeks. She's been waking up talking about it for weeks now. She screams "Kate's birthday coming next week!!!" for weeks now! I think it was all she dreamed of and more. She had tons of fun!

We had about 30 people at our house and cooked out on the grill. It all seemed really hectic to me but I guess it went over well. I barely even saw Kate during the party. She was so busy!
