I don't have much time...I NEED to go to bed. But I thought I'd share some Christmas pics. We had lots of fun with our families for Christmas. We were all VERY spoiled....especially by my dad!! (Love u Daddy!!) Kate now has more toys than she knows what to do with!!

Bedtime

Naptime and bedtime in our house have been quite a challenge for months now as I mentioned in the last post. We made a sticker chart for Kate and it's going great. In fact...if she's upstairs going to bed right now by herself (??) then she'll get her first prize tomorrow: scissors!! She's been doing great all week. This was one of my tricks tonight...I let her snuggle with her brother in her bed for a little while. She LOVED it! She was just mad he couldn't sleep there all night!!

At the end of her sticker chart is her all-time BIG prize: A NEW BIG GIRL BED with princess blankets!! She sleeps in a toddler bed right now but I guess we're gonna be moving her to a twin bed (if she can stick to it!) Let's hope she can!

Just like cinderella

Let me preface this by telling you our sleep struggles. I've been REALLY trying to get Kate to go to sleep by herself this week. She usually needs us to "pat her" until she's dead asleep. 80% of the time she wakes back up before you tip-toe out of the room. Anyways...I decided to put an end to it!This was Kate during her nap today. She told me yesterday she wanted to sleep like Cinderella (the scene where she is laying on her bed with her pillow over her head)

Dustin read her a book and left her to go to sleep on her own. When he looked in on her she was reading a book by herself. Then we heard her little feet pitter pattering for a few minutes. When I went to check on her, this is what I found!

But I'm so proud of her for going to sleep all by herself!




Also...she's been walking around in her princess dress and cinderella shoes getting ready for her wedding (after all the cinderella slipper does fit her!)

I think we've been watching a lot of cinderella lately!

PS. Notice she's sleeping in her bed?!?! Crazy!!

This boy is just the cutest little boy EVER!! (I may be partial!!) But I just LOVE him to pieces!!

She REALLY loves her Pap (my dad) They have lots of fun together. He calls her his bug-a-boo. She loves visiting with him.

Halloween

I wasn't going to do a Halloween post...but I check my Google Reader today and it seemed as though everyone posted about Halloween. So what the heck?!?

She's off! She loved trick-or-treating. Of course, who doesn't love getting free candy?!?

Especially if you don't even have to walk most of the time!

We sang happy birthday to dustin and had cake for his birthday before heading out trick-or-treating. As if all the candy we were going to get wasn't enough!!

Goettman family fall ride

Every year Dustin's family goes on a "fall ride." They drive somewhere...usually north to enjoy the fall scenery, a picnic, and family. This year we went to McConnells Mill State Park which is just about 10 minutes from Slippery Rock. It was a nice, sunny day...a nice change from the freezing cold and rain we've been having. Anyways...it was fun. Kate always has a blast with her family. She has so much fun playing with them. Baby Jack slept most of the day. He enjoyed sleeping in my sling while we were walking to the creek.
