No matter how many times I move this blanket from his face (yes, nice Nana from Target, I do take it off his face!) it always ends up back there!

At Target yesterday this lady comes up to my cart and as she is reaching for Jack's blanket says, "Do you mind if I take this blanket off of his nose? Just a Nana over here..." What the heck?!!? OF COURSE I MIND!! Of course, she had already reached over and took it off of him before I even knew what was going on. Please don't touch my baby or his stuff!! And please don't tell me how to parent my child!! I like the blanket by his face, THANK you very much!

Does this happen to you or am I just a magnet for people like this?? It seems like everywhere I go, people find it appropriate to tell me how to take care of my babies!

An Update at Last

It's been a little while...here's why:

Kate is doing good. Sassy as ever one minute and the sweetest girl I've ever met the next. I'm guessing she's right on target for a 2 and a half year old! She doesn't take naps anymore...which leads to my lack of free time for things like blogging. It's insane how much she loves her little brother. She is still completely obsessed with him. I'm pretty sure this girl is 2 going on 13. She's hard to keep up with :)


Jack is still probably one of the best babies ever created! (I guess I could be biased!) He is over all his troubles and doing great! He's formula fed now and happy as ever. He's eating rice and oatmeal cereal, bananas, peas and avocados. That chunker loves his food! I just can't get enough of that boy or his chubby little cheeks!
(When the heck did he get big enough to stand and play in a walker?!?)



I'm doing great selling my bows. My friend Sarah and I get quite a few sales from our Facebook fan page. We set up an Etsy shop too and have had a couple sales there. And we do craft shows, vendor shows and this weekend we're going to be at an arts festival and business expo! It's lots of fun!! She has a 3 year old that is friends with Kate so every other week or so we usually have a "bow day" where we make bows and the girls play together all afternoon! And we eat pizza and drink coke zero!! It's too fun!




Too cute, huh? (Plus Dustin dressed them in matching outfits while I was at a craft show! I came home to them dressed alike. It was so cute!)

Jack update...

So where we are with Jack's eating is sometimes nursing and sometimes bottle feeding. I was trying to nurse him first then give him a bottle if he was still hungry. Sometimes I alternate feedings, nurse one time then bottle feed the next. Whatever is working for us at the time. It's going okay for now. I don't know how long I'll be able to do this before I go to all bottle feeding...but it's working for now. It's sometimes fine and sometimes frustrating trying to figure it out.

BUT what is really annoying right now is his nighttime schedule. He's up ALL NIGHT LONG!! It's getting really tiring! He wakes up a couple times an hour. Sometimes I just give him a binky and sometimes I feed him. I've been feeding him 3 times a night lately!!! What the heck!! He only woke up once a night as a newborn. Let's get back to that! I thought the formula would help that but not yet! I think he's had an upset tummy though (from the change to formula and rice cereal) because he didn't poop from Sunday till today. He did poop today though so let's see if it helps for tonight! (fingers crossed)

ANYWAYS...that's what's going on with all that...in case you wanted to be kept updated! :)

I take that back...

So I just posted that yesterday about Jack NOT taking a bottle. Well I tried again yesterday evening. This time I gave him an ounce of breastmilk first then made formula. I kept making 2 ounces at a time and he ended up eating 6 ounces!! Then I pumped and only got 3 ounces. So I figure he probably has been pretty hungry for a few weeks!!

Well...that sounds great, right?? So I've been giving him a 2 or so ounce bottle after I nurse him. It was working out great until this afternoon when he decided HE DOES NOT WANT TO NURSE?!? WHAT?? I am at my in-laws so I don't have a pump and He WILL NOT nurse!! It's been about 8-10 hours!! I guess he's just following orders! Let's hope we get this figured out soon, little boy!!

FEED ME!

So, Jack will NOT take a bottle. My milk supply is diminishing fast and I can't supplement. We've tried different kinds of formula and bought several different kinds of bottles. He SCREAMS when we try to give him the bottle. He cries after every time I'm done feeding him, though like he's still hungry. He wakes up ALL night long to eat. Way more than ever before. He was also sick again last week...but he has lost a half a pound. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! ANY HELP?!?!?
