Haircuts, babies and zumba

Jack got the cutest haircut yesterday. It was sooo long and crazy so I let my brother cut it short!

I can't tell if the new haircut is making him look a little more naughty or if it's just these faces he keeps giving me when I tell him to smile! :)




My brother-in-law Mitchell and his wife Sarah had a baby girl on Thursday. Dustin took the day off work on Friday and we drove up to Erie to meet her. They named her Coralynn and she was simply precious. She had the sweetest demeanor. Adorable.






In other news, I've started going to Zumba and I LOVE it!! I wish I could go more than once a week, but for now it's just once a week. It's so great and I love it. I hope it has a spiraling affect and helps me to stop eating so much and work out more!! But for now, it's just loads of fun!!

Let me rant, please!

So I was super excited about my night I had planned tonight. I was going to go to Ikea after dinner to get a dresser and look around at some other things for the house...by myself. I hurried out after dinner with a smile on my face. But then I was getting a little frustrated while shopping because I suck at shopping...I should never be left alone to shop and make decisions. Plus I'm just a really bad decorator and really need help!! Anyways...I was just feeling defeated. (Although I did get a dresser...so that's good.) Well, I walk in the door and the house is a disaster area. Dustin is sitting on the computer and the kids are in bed. And the house is a MESS. I guess I should have just stayed home. Dinner dishes were still exactly where I left them, the table hadn't even been wiped off from dinner, popcorn kernels were all over the living room floor and toys were everywhere. It took me 45 minutes just to be able to sit down and watch american idol. :) (Probably would have been sooner...had I had any help??)
Sorry about the rant...please tell me this happens to you sometimes, too!?!?! I know the blogs I read are usually filled with how great your husbands are and all the sweet things they do for you... LOL not this blog!! :O)

I may want to watch him a little closer during painting time. :)

Life

So...we closed on our house on Feb. 14th. We spent that whole week cleaning and painting and doing small projects around the house. And my brother did some remodeling in our main bathroom. We moved in on Saturday the 19th. It has been so wonderful!! This is exactly what I have been waiting for!! The kids spend so much of their time just playing. Minding their own business and actually playing with their toys!! Who knew!??

And sometimes we just stay in our jammies all day (or witch costumes...whichever you prefer...)





We have sooo much more space than we were used to in our various apartments. I've been busy all week unpacking, more cleaning, and figuring out where i want stuff to go. It's harder to figure out this time since it's more permanent! I don't want to mess it up! I still have some stuff to do around here and some more boxes to put away but I love the feeling of HOME!! What a difference it has made in my life to move onto this stage of my life. Dustin graduated and has a job and we have a house! Life is good!! :)

And I know this is mean of me!! But just wanted to let you know that EVERYTHING has not always been great!! This is Kate when I wouldn't let her have a lollipop after not eating her dinner. :) LOL


I need to take more pictures of the house but we don't have curtains or anything decorated yet!

Now if I could just get Kate to sleep in her own bedroom :)
